We are a manufacturing business based in the People’s Republic of China. Where you contact us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we handle your data according to GDPR principles.
Enquiry form. Name, company, email address, country, quantity, material, your description, and an optional drawing or 3D file. Name, email and description are required; everything else is optional.
Server logs. Our host records IP address, time, page requested and browser string for technical reasons. We do not analyse these logs on a personal level.
Visitor identification. See “Third-party website analytics” below.
We use the details you send us solely to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a quotation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. Server logs and the visitor-identification tool described below rest on our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and in reaching business customers, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
This site uses a visitor-identification service provided by Leadsy (vTag, r2.leadsy.ai). It loads a small script in your browser and processes your IP address and technical browser data in order to work out which company a visit is likely to come from. It is aimed at business visitors and is not used to build a profile of you as a private individual. Processing takes place partly on servers outside the European Economic Area, which means a transfer to a third country without an adequacy decision. You can object to this processing at any time by emailing eileen@gymachining.com, and browser or network-level blockers stop the script from loading at all.
This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no advertising pixels, and does not sell or rent your data.
We do not use your enquiry for newsletters or unsolicited marketing, and we neither sell nor rent your details to anyone.
The site is hosted with Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus / Lithuania, EU). Notification of your enquiry is emailed to our business mailbox at Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.). Your enquiry is then handled by our staff in Dongguan, China. The visitor-identification service named above also processes data outside the EEA. This means a transfer to a third country without an adequacy decision. If you would rather avoid that, please email or telephone us instead of using the form.
We keep enquiries and attached files for as long as they are useful for handling your request and any repeat order, and at most three years after the last contact. After that we delete them. We will delete them sooner on request.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. An informal email to eileen@gymachining.com is enough. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, normally the one where you live.
Uploaded drawings and 3D files are treated as confidential. They are used only to quote and manufacture your part and are not passed to third parties. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement beforehand.
